The “eco” label has long been used to identify individuals, organizations, and activities committed to respectful, responsible, and sustainable use of the environment.
The “eco” label will also provide a platform for accurate and non-deceptive information and reliable resources to encourage environmental awareness and action on sustainability.
Unlike other top-level domains, .ECO will ONLY be available to organizations, businesses and people committed to positive change for the planet. Endorsed by over 50 environmental organizations, including WWF, Greenpeace and NRDC, .ECO is a trusted, verified symbol for the environmental community.
Don’t miss this one-time chance to use the campaign domain you’ve always dreamed of. You can apply for a .ECO domain grant if:
• Your organization is a not-for-profit, charity or government
• Environmental work is central to your mission
• You plan to actively use your .ECO domain within a year of receiving it
The release dates for .ECO are:
Sunrise period: 1 February – 2 April
General launch: 18 April
